Cookie policy

Werkido uses cookies and similar technologies to run the service, keep you signed in and remember your language and, where analytics is configured for the environment and with your consent, to measure traffic with Google Analytics 4.

Necessary cookies and the functional category do not require consent, because without them the service does not work or cannot remember settings you asked for. The functional category remembers your language selection and is always active as a user-requested setting. Analytics cookies require your prior, freely given consent (article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet and article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive).

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or profiling. Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off in Google Analytics 4.

Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. GA4 is available only in environments where analytics is configured, and the Google script is loaded only after you consent. Before you consent — and at all times in an environment without GA4 configuration — your browser sends no requests to Google Analytics domains.

GA4 helps us understand which pages, service listings and job listings are viewed, where traffic comes from and how visitors contact service providers and employers. We never send phone numbers, e-mail addresses, names or message contents to Google. Event data is kept in GA4 for 14 months.

Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. See the privacy policy for details.

The application uses browser storage for drafts in both creators — the service-listing creator and the job-listing creator — as well as likes, counters and saved articles. The data remains locally in the browser and on the device where it was stored; you can remove it by clearing Werkido’s site data in your browser settings. A draft in sessionStorage expires when the session ends or when it is deleted. Data in localStorage remains until it is removed or the site data is cleared. These mechanisms are not cookies in the formal sense, so we list them separately:

• werkly:create-listing:draft-state:* (sessionStorage): Restores the draft of a new listing after leaving the editor unexpectedly.
• werkido_news_liked_* / werkido_news_like_count_* (localStorage): Remembers likes and like counters in the news section on this device.

If GA4 is configured for the environment, we show a banner on your first visit with “Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Settings”. The banner and cookie settings page control analytics only; the functional language preference is always active. You can change or withdraw your analytics consent at any time, and when you withdraw it we delete the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies. If GA4 is not configured, no banner or analytics choice to save is shown, no optional script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

We also count views of service listings and job listings, phone number reveals and contact clicks involving service providers and employers with our own counter, which sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. The privacy policy explains how it works.
